She can only freeze you if you're looking at her and you're in her line of sight when she tries to freeze you, so try to use the new Yo-Yos! Try to stay out of Medusa's line of sight.Warning: Anything with a ? at the end means that I have almost no idea what I'm talking about-ĭrops: 50-ish Javelins, Gladiator Chestplate, unknown amount of coinage These enemies most likely also drop items essential for the Ankh Charm and Ankh Shield. ![]() Warning: the drops shown are the only drops that I know of. Warning: this part of the guide is almost completely theoretical, and I have only fought these enemies in Expert Mode. While petrified, you cannot move or attack, and you are damaged normally. Medusa will turn you into stone, giving you the Petrified! debuff, lasting for around 3 seconds. They have unique AI, with the Hoplite stopping to throw Javelins at you, unlike most enemies that look similar. The two mobs both look like people/creatures you'd find in ancient Greece, with the Hoplite looking like a Spartan warrior, and Medusa looking like, well, Medusa. These new hostile mobs are found near or in Marble biomes. This is what I've found while fighting these new monsters- With the release of 1.3 comes new enemies and biomes, specifically Medusa and the Hoplite. Take info marked with a exampletheory with a grain of salt, even if you're playing Expert Mode. ![]() Warning: until further information is received, this thread *may* be largely theoretical. Take information about AI, damage, defense, and possibly drops marked with a expertmodeinfo with a grain of salt if you're playing normal mode. ![]() Warning: almost all/all information in this guide was found in Expert Mode.
